100%. I think it's a little ironic that conservatives, who care a lot about social structures and talk about forming communities all the time, also support an economic system that actively alienates people and disincentivizes families and other non-financial relationships. I recently watched a Muppet Christmas Carol and it's really interesting how directly Scrooge represents this ideal that capitalists have for human behavior, and then picks it apart as incredibly anti-social. Like yeah, if you dedicate all of your time to production and consumption you're not going to have time to make meaningful human connections.
